Keeping and organization's information safe is not an easy job, requires skills, tools and a profesional team dedicated to this task.

For big companies, with multiple business units or with multi countries presence, a strong leadership is needed with access to the board.

That leadership role corresponds to the CISO (Chief Information Security Officer) as the top responsibility of information security in the organization, besides him, in charge of the cybersecurity technology, is the TISO (Technology Information Security Officer).

Additionally, the CISO may assign regional or business focused responsibilities, to a BISO (Business Information Security Officer) that could be assigned to a specific line of business or to a RISO (Regional Information Security Officer) who knows the culture and specific requirements of a region or country la EU or LATAM.

We may see the BISO and RISO roles unified usually in a BISO denomination.

Finally, some organizations may have also an ISO (Information Security Officer), depending on the size of the organization, the ISO may be the leader of the information security efforts or may be part or a bigger team.
